The IACA Education Fund, formerly known as the Indian Arts Education Association was granted a 501(c)3 designation by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on September 9, 2002. This means that it is recognized as a publicly supported Association which can accept charitable, tax exempt contributions. It is incorporated in the State of New Mexico, USA. Its function and operation are the responsibilities of its Board of Directors who operate under the published Bylaws. The membership of the Board is divided approximately equally between documented Native Americans and those who are non-Native Americans.
