Authentic American Indian Art
The American Indian art industry is being bombarded from all direc-
tions. An older population, cheap fake imports and diminishing
interest in American Indian art (and fine art in general), are but a few
challenges facing the American Indian art industry today.
Learn more about our industry, the challenges and the opportunities,
as an panel of sellers and buyers provides insight into the present and
future of the American Indian art market from their unique selling and
buying perspectives.
The panel will include Susan Pourian (The Indian Craft Shop, Wash-
ington, DC), Artie Yellowhorse (Artie Yellowhorse Jewelry, Albu-
querque) and Pam Lujan (Artist, Albuquerque).
This IACA Business of Arts Seminar will help to solve the puzzle
about continuing success in a challenging time.
The 90 minute seminar will be held in conjunction with the IACA Fall
Wholesale Market at the Isleta Resort and Casino. It will begin at 8:00
am on October 23, just prior to the opening of the market.
