The annual IACA Fall Whole-
sale market has been set for
Friday, October 23 and Satur-
day, October 24 at the Isleta
Resort just minutes south of
Albuquerque.
The IACA Fall Wholesale mar-
ket provides retail buyers the
opportunity to stock up with
original American Indian Art
just prior to the busy holiday
season.
Special room rates are available
to buyers and exhibitors at the
market, and reservations can be
made either on the IACA web-
site or by calling the resort at
877-475-3827. Make sure to tell
them that you are with the Indi-
an Arts and Crafts Association.
In addition to the market,
IACA members are invited to
participate in the fall IACA
Board Workshop and Board of
Directors meeting on Wednes-
day, October 21 and Thursday,
October 22 at the Isleta Resort.
These sessions provide mem-
bers the opportunity to con-
tribute to the development of
plans for 2016 and beyond.

Market Setup
As nearly every artist knows, the power of the Internet and
social media helps to drive your sales.
More than ever, consumers look to the Internet to search for
their favorite American Indian artists. As an artist, and a busi-
ness person, one thing you should strive for is top positioning
on key search engines.
In particular, it is ideal for you to be positioned on the very first
page of a “Google” search of
your name
.
The Indian Arts and Crafts Association recently carried out
research to see if member artists who participate in IACA
wholesale markets fare better in Google searches than member
artists who do not participate in IACA Wholesale Markets.
Here is what we found based on artists participating in the
2014 and 2015 wholesale markets vs. a random selection of an
equal number of IACA member artists who did not participate
in those markets.
Why is that?
At an IACA Wholesale Market you are selling to top IACA retail
members who promote your work on their website. When people
“Google” your name these sites will be included in the search, and
will give people the opportunity to purchase your work through
IACA retail members who purchase from you at the IACA Whole-
sale Market. This will result in ongoing repeat sales to you from
those IACA Retail Members.
The IACA Wholesale Market will help drive more people to your
own website because your name is referenced many more times in
the Google search engine.
Participating IACA Wholesale Market artists have a keener sense
on how to market their art to a broader audience, including partici-
pation in the IACA Wholesale markets.
