Standing Rules
STANDING RULES AND PROCEDURES FOR
IACA MEETINGS
1.
The structure of the Indian Arts and Crafts Association, Inc. is described in detail in the
Bylaws and their amendments.
2.
Parliamentary procedures will be followed as expressed in
Robert’s Rules of Order
(Zimmerman, D. P., 1997. Harper Perennial, A Division of Harper, Collins, Publishers) in
the conduct of the required meetings of the Board of Directors.
3.
The meetings of the Executive Committee may be conducted on a more informal basis.
Detailed minutes of these meetings
must be kept and preserved.
4.
The rights of the Association supercede the rights of individual members.
5.
The Association has the right to make rules, which when adopted must be observed by all
members. Should a conflict arise between the rights of a member and the rights of the
Association, the rights of the Association prevail.
6.
The presiding officer will be the IACA President or his/her designate. The meeting of the
Committees and the Board of Directors will be convened by this individual.
7.
A quorum for the
annual
meeting, as defined in the Bylaws shall consist of ten (10)
percent of the total membership.
