Rewards of Volunteering

  • Volunteering provides you with the opportunities to apply and expand your professional skills through community service.

  • Volunteers see the behind-the-scenes world of the arts and get the chance to meet with artists and experts one-to-one.

  • Volunteering will expand your personal knowledge of the arts and cultures of American Indian peoples.

  • Volunteering help develop leadership skills.

Volunteers gain new perspectives and enjoyment from working with people in the active creative process.

Office Support Needed

You can help in many ways,

  • Clerical assistance

  • Marketing

  • Fundraising

  • Membership Sales

  • Develop Artist Bios

  • Write for IACA publications

  • Graphic design for publications

  • Website management

  • Phone volunteers

  • Help with mailings

IACA Market Support

  • Registration of exhibitors

  • Assist exibitors with set up and take down

  • Information Desk (local travel, tourism info, etc)

  • Exhibitor Support - Booth Sitting, Coffee/Water

  • Transportation - Run errands, transport people

  • Photography

Awards Ceremonies and Banquets

  • Check in art submitted for awards

  • Assist judges and record winners

  • Serve as a judge or a booth inspector

  • Check in donated art for raffles/auctions

  • Staff the ticket sales table

  • Auction set up, sales, record sales

  • Banquet Entertainment

  • Photography

Time Commitments

  • For IACA Markets: 8am until 6pm

  • For Banquets and Awards Ceremonies: 5pm until 10pm

  • For the Office: Monday-Friday anytime between 9am and 5pm
